Diana, Thank you for sharing this with us. Seeing them out on the hill again fills my heart with joy.
There are so many thoughts that come to mind when I watch this. Of course the first being thank goodness everything worked out the way it did in re: to life and harm. Also, I always love the way you guys thoroughly explain (educate) to readers what is going on, what to look for, etc. One thing I would be very interested to see /hear are warning calls. Seems like ive found that you’ve covered nearly every chimpanzee behavior I can thinks of (and done a really good job I must say), but cant find warning calls. I’m guessing because you arrive only AFTER being alerted? And last, I LOVE LOVE the chimpanzee cam. Every aspect of the chimp cam is brilliant and heart warming. My favorite appearances are anything Burrito, Foxie (or is it Jamie) that likes to “test” it by pulling the lock, tapping the screen and the occasional lick, and all time fav is Missy when she seems to look over or back at it as if to check and make sure it wont “get ” her or figure her out (since to me she always looks like shes up to something), and then after one last look she sprint’s off.
Absolutely incredible footage. This has to be up there with my all time favorites. I’m on my way now to thank KOMO 4 for sharing this with us.
