Lazy Play

April 20, 2012 by Debbie

Annie and Missy love to play, whether it be rough-and-tumble wrestling, or like today—playing at the same time as resting. Annie certainly didn’t want Missy to go to sleep, and really, who’s to say you can’t play and lay down at the same time?

    They are such good friends.

Reminds me of when I was a pre-teen and I’d spend the night at my BFF’s. We’d be wrestling, poking, tearing the bed apart, all the while trying not to laugh!!

Such joy to see that here!!

Looks like Missy has been taking lessons from Negra!

How long are chimp naps and do they all take a daytime snooze?

The chimps nap for various lengths in time, but yes, I would say that everyone does take daytime naps. It’s fairly common for captive chimps to nap during the day. Even Jamie, who is almost always doing something, will take naps occasionally.
